The title says it all really - I'll be creating a small dungeon map every day this month and posting the pictures here  (Note that this is an idea I originally posted over on the EN World message boards - but I figured I'd post the maps here too). |

These are great and I think that I'm going to print each one on A4 card and use them to create random dungeons. I just need to dust off my random encounter and population charts...

Glad you like them I've also tried to blow the first map up to battlematt scale (just to see how it printed out) - but it didn't look especially detailed at that level. I attempted to make it look a little better by adding a few filters over the top ...but it's still not that great. However, I think it might still be usable though - it's just not as good as the proper dungeon tiles I have drawn. Not that bad actually. A little colour and it would be quite usable. There again for Pulp or Film Noir games it would be excellent . I remember seeing one Pulp rules author (who's name escapes me) painiting all his figures and terrain in a cross between sepia and B&W to give his games that old film feel. Perhaps what is needed though is a direct correlation between your small scale maps and the larger map elements you have produced. Thus the inspiration you give us with your dungeons could be trasnferred by making up the modular elements in 'battle-scale'. I am not going to criticise though, what with your production rate having gone up so quick over the last couple of seeks and still with that standard CSP mark of quality. One last thought... are you going to add all these new chambers as elements in your 35 pixel Modular Dungeon planning selection on the site? And one more...  ...would you be interested in us out here submitting our own dungeons using the elements in the Modular Dungeon series? Enough for one post methinks. Cheers, Craig. |
