Just wanted to say thanks for the special offer on the East Eyrie Fortress map-pack! It's a nice addition to the campaign guide. Hope to see more of your map work -- it's top notch. My resolution for 2012 is to run an AoS game set in Dor-lómin in which the PCs are the younger sons of the Men who perished Nírnaeth Arnoediad living as bandits in a futile resistance against the Easterling usurpers. The map-pack will prove quite useful if the PCs ever visit the hidden Elven kingdoms. Thanks again, and well-done! Brian

Thanks for the kind words. My resolution for 2012 is to run an AoS game set in Dor-lómin in which the PCs are the younger sons of the Men who perished Nírnaeth Arnoediad living as bandits in a futile resistance against the Easterling usurpers. Brian That sounds like a game I'd happily play in ...and nice to see the AoS used in an alternate setting (and one that it fits well - seeing as how the game has was inspired by such tales as those found in the Silmarillion). EDIT:Also, just in case you haven't seen it, I started a map of the Highlands and Northern Beleriand a while back ...just as a Silmarillion fan project really. I didn't actually go as far west as Dor-Lomin ...at least not yet (so it's uses are somewhat limited) - but if your players venture eastwards then you might find a use for it: i29.photobucket.com/albums/c265/hador_goldenhead/highlands_wip_01.jpgNote that the map is set after the Dagor Bragollach ...so things like Tol Sirion have been appropriately renamed and there are ruined fortresses on the northern edge of Dorthonion, etc. Also note that some things are based on guesswork (Orod-na-thon for example), or are my own additions - but where any addition happens it is always founded on some snippet of information that can be found in the various books/histories (eg. Barad Angren is something I've put in to represent the ruined fortress of Angrod).
