Hi, folks:
A buddy and I have just invested in Fantasy Grounds, a virtual tabletop application. First thing I bought was the BRP ruleset. The second thing I did was attempt an AOS extension for it so we can run some Middle Earth goodness.
Just did some initial fiddling, and it looks like it's going to work very well. As I progress, and if anyone is interested, I'd be happy to share the extension (if anyone is using FGII).
Love AOS. Thanks, Kris!

You're welcome (hope you have fun with it).
I'm not very familiar with FG, as the last time I gamed online was with OpenRPG a few years ago, but I assume the basics are pretty much the same (though I except that things have progressed somewhat since I last tried it, and no doubt a 'paid for' virtual tabletop such as FG would be a lot more shiny and user friendly).
If you don't mind me asking, do you just use FG on it's own, or do you supplement it with some kind of video-conferencing or anything like that?

Generally we just use the chat box so we can speak IC without too much chagrin. Maptool is a great free tool that focuses on the battle map. We went with FG because it's more focused on simulating a tabletop experience. The BRP ruleset you can get for FG2 is highly customizable, so I'm cutting my modding teeth on AOS (which is great, BTW). So far, I've gotten the skills, categories, crits, magic/powers, and stats altered. Working no on a library module for draggable weapons and spells. If/when I get this finished, I'll float it your way (with screenshots). With your consent, I'd love to offer it up to the FG BRP crowd (again, if/when it gets done). Thanks for such an excellent game. It's really gotten me turned back on to BRP after many years. Take care, Brian

Hi Kris, some online friends of mine have started using FG and the BRP ruleset. One friend is modifying the ruleset for Runequest 2 (the chaosium version). I love to see the extension for AoS. We really want to get a BRP game going. Our current GM like Savage Worlds best.

...Our current GM like Savage Worlds best. I've yet to play any savage worlds myself - though I do hope to rectify that in the near future (as it looks like a pretty good game). Regarding the AoS extension ...I don't have Fantasy Grounds myself (so I don't know how much work would be involved) - but if someone (like kairos mentioned above) makes one available, then I agree that it would be rather cool
